The safety and well-being of our participants and community partners is our highest priority. We recommend that especially before you travel to another culture or country, that you are well informed by doing some research on where you are going and understand the environment and any associated risks. You will find from a variety of sources that Japan is considered one of the safest countries in the world.
Our program brings together representatives from several countries and continents to Japan for this highly unique educational opportunity. Besides the knowledge and experience that participants bring, they also come with a wide variety of belief systems, values and cultural norms. This is done intentionally to create a tremendous learning opportunity. However, the key to a successful and safe environment is to design a program culture that ensures that all participants and community partners are safe and treated with sincere respect. Clear behavioral guidelines will be discussed during the enrollment process and reiterated during the orientation period in Japan.
